Bio: I’m a writer, musician, comedian, performer, dad, and husband. I’ve been in theater since I was in high school and earned my degree in theatrical design from Hamline University in 1992. I have been performing at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival since 1985. I’ve written plays in Seussian verse, musicals, and a theatrical adaptation of the book “Death in Yosemite.” I’m an unapologetic fan of Porgs.

Convention experience: I was one of the founders of CONvergence. I served on the board from it’s creation in 1998 until the end of the 2008 convention. Since then I have worked as Co-head programming, co-head of invited participants, and alumni Guest liaison. I have been a member of the convention committee in some way since the convention was founded.

I have been the head of the movie room at Omegacon since its inception.

I was the artistic director of Fearless Comedy Productions from 2013 until 2021.

I have produced work at the Minnesota Fringe Festival every year since 2007.

I have served on the board of the Renaissance Performers Guild since 2018.

I have produced audio comedy as the director of Big Fun Radio Funtime since 2013.

I am a recipient of the Keeper of the Flame Award from the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. My band, The Dregs, has been awarded Best Musical Act at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival twice and the Dancing Bear award at the Siouxland Renaissance Festival.
